Strength and hardness: The strength and hardness are relatively low, but its strength can be improved through processes such as work hardening to meet different application requirements. For example, in situations where a certain structural strength is required, it can be cold-processed to improve performance.
Corrosion resistance: In the air, a dense aluminum oxide (Al₂O₃) protective film will naturally form on the surface of aluminum. This film can prevent oxygen and water from further contacting the internal aluminum atoms, thus having a certain degree of corrosion resistance. However, in some acidic or alkaline environments, this protective film may be destroyed, causing aluminum to corrode.
Reaction with acid and alkali: 1050 aluminum coil can react with acid, such as hydrochloric acid (HCl) to generate aluminum chloride (AlCl₃) and hydrogen (H₂); it can also react with strong alkali, such as sodium hydroxide (NaOH) to generate sodium aluminate (NaAlO₂) and hydrogen. Therefore, it is necessary to avoid contact with strong acid and alkali environment during use. Antioxidation: The antioxidation of aluminum mainly depends on the aluminum oxide protective film on the surface. At room temperature, this film can effectively prevent aluminum from being oxidized, but in high temperature environment, the aluminum oxide film may be destroyed, and appropriate protective measures need to be taken to ensure the antioxidation performance of aluminum coil.
