Density: The density of carbon steel is approximately between 7.8-7.85g/cm³, which makes A106-A carbon steel pipe have a certain weight. In the design and installation of the piping system, it is necessary to consider the impact of its deadweight on the supporting structure. Thermal conductivity: Carbon steel is a good conductor of heat, and A106-A carbon steel pipe is no exception. Magnetism: A106 – A carbon steel pipe is magnetic, which needs to be considered in some application scenarios that require magnetism (such as near equipment involving electromagnetic induction).
General environment: In a dry air environment, a thin oxide film will form on the surface of A106-A carbon steel pipe, which can prevent further oxidation of the steel pipe to a certain extent. However, in a humid environment, especially in air containing salt or acidic substances, its corrosion resistance will decrease.
Special environment: In a solution containing corrosive chemicals (such as acid and alkali), A106-A carbon steel pipe is prone to chemical reaction and corrosion. For example, in a strong acidic environment, the iron in the steel pipe will react with the acid to generate corresponding salt and hydrogen.
Oxidation resistance: In a high temperature environment, the oxidation reaction rate of A106-A carbon steel pipe is limited. As the temperature increases, the oxidation reaction rate on its surface will accelerate, resulting in the thickening of the oxide film. Long-term high temperature may reduce the strength and toughness of the steel pipe. However, in a relatively low temperature air environment, the oxidation reaction is relatively slow, and its performance can be maintained to a certain extent.
