Thermal conductivity: The thermal conductivity is approximately between 16 and 21W/(m·K) at room temperature. This value indicates that it has a certain ability in heat conduction, but it is less thermally conductive than metals such as copper and aluminum. Thermal expansion coefficient: In the range of 100-900℃, the linear expansion coefficient is basically between 10-130×10⁻⁶/℃, and tends to increase with increasing temperature. Ductility: It has good ductility and can easily perform various processing operations, such as stretching into filaments and stamping into thin plates of various shapes to meet different product design requirements.
Corrosion resistance: 316 stainless steel coil contains alloy elements such as chromium, nickel, and molybdenum. The addition of molybdenum significantly enhances its corrosion resistance, especially in environments containing chloride ions (such as seawater) and some strong acidic and alkaline environments, which can effectively resist corrosion. It can resist the erosion of a variety of chemical media, such as strong acid and strong alkali solutions in chemical production, and various food additive solutions in food processing.
Oxidation resistance: It has good oxidation resistance at both room temperature and high temperature. At high temperature, a stable passivation film can be formed on its surface to prevent oxygen from further oxidizing the internal metal. For example, in some high-temperature chemical reaction equipment or high-temperature food processing equipment, the stability of the material can be maintained.
Chemical stability: In a complex chemical environment, 316 stainless steel coils show high chemical stability. Whether in the production process of various chemical drugs in the pharmaceutical industry or in the long-term immersion in seawater in marine engineering, it will not easily react with the surrounding chemicals, thereby ensuring its service life in these harsh environments.
