1. Physical properties

Thermal conductivity: Its thermal conductivity is about 16.3W/(m·K) at room temperature, which means that it has a certain ability to conduct heat, but its thermal conductivity is slightly worse than that of metals such as copper and aluminum. In some occasions where heat dissipation or heat insulation is required, it can be reasonably applied based on this characteristic.

Thermal expansion coefficient: In the range of 0-100℃, the thermal expansion coefficient is about 17.2×10⁻⁶/℃. This shows that when the temperature changes, the size change of 304 stainless steel coil is relatively small, which is conducive to maintaining the stability of shape and size in a temperature fluctuation environment and reducing deformation caused by thermal expansion and contraction.

2. Chemical properties

Corrosion resistance: 304 stainless steel coil contains at least 18% chromium and 8% nickel. Chromium can form a dense chromium oxide (Cr₂O₃) passivation film on the surface, which can effectively prevent corrosive media such as oxygen and moisture from contacting the internal metal, making it have good corrosion resistance in the atmosphere, fresh water, and general acid-base environments (such as low-concentration organic acids, inorganic acids, and alkaline solutions).

Antioxidation: In high-temperature environments, as long as the temperature does not exceed about 800°C, 304 stainless steel coils can maintain good anti-oxidation properties. This is because the passivation film on its surface can still play a protective role within a certain temperature range, preventing oxygen from further corroding the internal metal.

Chemical stability: In general chemical environments, 304 stainless steel coils are relatively stable and will not react violently with common chemicals. For example, under normal conditions of food processing and chemical production, it can stably transport various materials without adversely affecting the properties of the materials.

Application:

304 stainless steel coil is widely used.
